Insurance Riders
Insurance riders are valuable options that can be added to your life insurance plan for an additional premium. However, not all riders are available on every life insurance plan. Gleaner offers the following insurance riders that can provide you and your family with additional benefits:
ACCIDENTAL DEATH BENEFIT
The Accidental Death Benefit provides additional funds to your beneficiary should your death result from an accident.
CHILDREN'S RIDER
This option provides term life insurance coverage for each of your children under the age of 25. All of your children are protected regardless of the number of children in your family.
DECREASING TERM RIDER
You may purchase decreasing term insurance on either yourself or your spouse. Often used for mortgage protection purposes, this rider terminates at age 70.
GUARANTEED INCREASE OPTION
You may periodically increase your insurance coverage regardless of your health condition. The death benefit can be increased within specified limits every three years beginning at ages 25 through 40.
OTHER INSURED RIDER
As a certificate holder, you may purchase additional term life insurance coverage for your spouse or for your children.
PAID UP ADDITIONS RIDER
Allows you to purchase "additional" cash value that can be used to offset the cost of a college education or retirement.
WAIVER OF PREMIUM
Should you become disabled, your life insurance protection will continue with no premiums due during the period of your disability.
