The Gleaner College Bound Waiver
Any Gleaner member who owns a “Harvest 8” annuity can pay for college expenses by withdrawing funds from the annuity without incurring a surrender charge. This benefit is available to all members whose “Harvest 8” annuity has been in force for at least one year. Withdrawals may be used to pay for college expenses incurred by family members of the annuitant or owner, including college tuition, textbooks, and/or on-campus housing.
Gleaner Scholarship MasterCard Program
By using the Gleaner MasterCard, you’ll be helping fund scholarships for deserving students. This card has no annual fee. All members are welcome to apply for any of the scholarships for students sponsored by the Gleaner Life Insurance Society Scholarship Foundation.
Loyalty Bonus
Recognizes and rewards Universal Life certificate holders with a 10% additional death benefit (up to $20,000 per UL member) after they hold the certificate five years. This bonus also rewards those who hold Gleaner annuities for five years by providing an additional 2% of the annuity’s value (up to $20,000 per annuity member) in the form of a death benefit.
New Arrival Family Benefit
Provides a $1,000 payment to the parents of a newborn child, if the child lives 15 days, but less than 365 days. After 15 days, and during the remaining 350-day period, the parents may apply for a $2,500 life insurance certificate (other than term) to become effective on the child’s 365th day of life. This insurance will be issued at standard rates regardless of the child’s health.
The Gleaner Annuity Nursing Home Waiver
This benefit allows Gleaner annuity holders to use their accumulated funds to pay nursing home expenses without incurring a surrender charge.
